Marmont and Faith top Super X qualifying sessions in Maitland

Qualifying is complete for the Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship, here in Maitland, New South Wales.

CDR Rockstar Energy Drink Yamaha’s Jay Marmont topped the session, as he did earlier during practice, with a 29.401 to head JDR Motorex KTM’s Dan Reardon and Raceline Pirelli Suzuki’s Lawson Bopping.

Reardon was the only rider apart from Marmont in the 29s, while the gap between Bopping in third and Craig Anderson (Berry Sweet Strawberries Honda) in 10th was just over half a second.

The Pro Lites session saw American Gavin Faith lead for Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing, the only rider in the 29s, while Brenden Harrison (JDR Motorex KTM) was second and Dean Ferris (Monster Kawasaki) third.

Series leader Matt Moss was fourth for JDR Motorex KTM, leading the series by just three points over Harrison entering tonight’s proceedings.
