CDR Rockstar Energy Drink Yamaha’s has posted the fastest time during Pro Open qualifying here at Campbelltown Sports Stadium, round three of the Monster Energy Super X series.

Today saw race organisers separate the practice and qualifying sessions, unlike in previous weeks where they were run as a single session, and the track has so far proven technical, but popular amongst the riders.

Marmont was quickest with a 42.004 from the in-form Dan Reardon (JDR Motorex KTM) at 42.162, while American Chris Blose (Hart and Huntington/InsureMyRide) was third with a 42.296.

Rookie Lawson Bopping was a solid fourth fastest for Raceline Pirelli Suzuki despite missing much of the session, edging out Scotsman Billy Mackenzie (Monster Energy Kawasaki).

Championship leader Dan McCoy was ninth quickest, just over a second off the pace, on the Motul Pirelli Suzuki in what is his home round of the season.

In the Pro Lites class it was Brenden Harrison who topped the session, leading ahead of JDR Motorex KTM teammate Matt Moss.

Harrison was a surprised fastest, building on confidence from a pair of podiums at the opening two rounds, with his 42.118 almost half a second quicker than Moss’ 42.445.

The only other two riders in the 42s were Serco Yoshimura Yamaha’s Kirk Gibbs at 42.532, and Dean Ferris (Monster Energy Kawasaki), who posted a 42.883.

Completing the top five was American visitor Gavin Faith on the Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing CRF250R at a 43.005.

The Under 19s it was Yamaha privateer Jarrad Davis who was fastest with a 44.429 from series leader Errol Willis (Raceline Pirelli Suzuki), who posted a 44.462 despite an early crash.
