Heat races complete at Campbelltown round of Monster Super X

The Pro Open and Pro Lites heat races have been contested at Campbelltown Stadium’s third round of the Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship.

Heat one of the Pro Opens was dominated by Tye Simmonds for JDR Motorex KTM, winning ahead of Raceline Pirelli Suzuki’s Lawson Bopping and Todd Waters (Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing).

The second heat was a tight one, with American Chris Blose out front early for Hart and Huntington/InsureMyRide before Jay Marmont took over at the front and went on to win.

Behind Marmont came CDR Rockstar Energy Drink Yamaha teammate Jake Moss, and points leader Dan McCoy in third for Motul Pirelli Suzuki.

Dan Reardon was up front in the early stages, however he went off the track early and then later went down in the turn before the whoops.

The first Lites heat was won by Robbie Marshall aboard the Coastal KTM, with Dean Ferris (Monster Kawasaki) second and series leader Matt Moss (JDR Motorex KTM) third.

Come the second Lites heat it was Brenden Harrison (JDR Motorex KTM) who continued his form with the victory, comfortable ahead of British import Steven Clarke (Motul Pirelli Suzuki).

Third was Adam Monea (Team 07 Axis Motorsports Honda), while Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing’s Gavin Faith suffered a number of crashes to take ninth.

The Under 19s wins were split between Geran Stapleton (Honda) and Mitch Norris (Yamaha), who was aboard a 250cc two-stroke.
