CDR Rockstar Energy Drink Yamaha will contest this weekend’s Wollongong round of the Monster Energy Super X series in pink, promoting breast cancer awareness.

Teammates Jay Marmont and Jake Moss will wear special pink gear from Fox, plus their YZ450Fs will feature a one-off pink livery for the round in support of breast cancer.

“Running pink Fox gear and changing the colour of our race bikes is our way of assisting and raising the profile of breast cancer,” said team owner Craig Dack.

“Breast cancer is a serious issue in the community and effects thousands of people so if we can raise a few dollars and make people think a little more about its effect on families and the community then we will be happy.”

Marmont, who will compete in front of his hometown fans, will be aiming to put his best foot forward in pink come race day.

“I might cop a bout of flak from the boys about it, but that’s a small price to pay in trying to raise the level of attention for breast cancer,” he said. “I think it’s a great initiative by CDR Rockstar Yamaha and Fox and I’m proud to be a part of it.”

Monza Imports, the company that imports Fox into Australia, is a huge supporter of the theme and Mick Sinclair looks forward to the weekend ahead.

“Fox are always happy to be involved in this program,” said Fox’s Mick Sinclair. “Each year we have offered our support to the program via racing and this year we are combining the pink gear with a donation to the cancer appeal.

“We urge others to do the same as every little bit helps for an illness like this.”

Rockstar Energy Drink have just launched their new Perfectberry flavour onto the Australian market, fitting in well with the CDR team for the weekend.

Round two of the Monster Energy Super X series takes place this weekend at WIN Stadium in Wollongong, with gates opening at 3.30pm to the public.
