Monster Energy Super X practice completed in Melbourne

Practice and qualifying has concluded at Melbourne Knights Stadium for round one of the Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship.

Despite a heavy downpour of rain earlier this morning, the track conditions have been forming into deep ruts and a largely dry surface beneath layer of mud.

The Pro Lites were first up in the schedule, followed by the Under 19s, Juniors and then finally the highly anticipated premier Pro Open category.

Timing at the venue has experienced technical difficulties however during the proceedings so far, with no official times logged during any of the sessions.

Riders have been able to negotiate the rhythm sections and whoops, and if the rain holds out, we should experience a competitive evening of racing.
