British champion Anderson signs for Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing

Brad Anderson will race in Australia full time with Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing for the 2012 season.

Dual British Motocross Champion Brad Anderson has been confirmed for the Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing team, signing with the Victorian-based outfit early this morning.

Anderson revealed to news to leading British website ‘Moto’ in an interview over the weekend, with team boss Yarrive Konsky confirming the news to MotoOnline.com.au this afternoon.

Konsky confirmed that Anderson will ride both the 2012 Australian Motocross and Supercross Championships for the team, with a second rider yet to be confirmed.

“I went there a few years ago and had three wins, so I think ever since then there has been a lot of people interested,” Anderson told Moto.

“The money is good out there, don’t get me wrong, and I’m all about the money to be honest. It’s going to be hard in the British championship next year with all these new riders, and I think the Aussie championship is pretty hard with Josh [Coppins] and all them.

“I’d like to see what it will be all about for one year maybe and if I don’t like it so much, or am homesick, then I can always jump back.”

Anderson contested the Raymond Terrace round of the Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals in 2010 aboard a privateer Honda, taking a clean-sweep of three moto wins.

Earlier this year, Anderson finished fifth in the British round of the Motocross World Championship in a one-off guest ride.

Expect a full announcement from Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing this week.
