Motorex KTM Off Road Racing’s Ben Grabham has confirmed that he’ll return to racing this weekend in the fifth and sixth rounds of the Australian Off Road Championships in South Australia.

The team will welcome back Bathurst’s Grabham following and extended layoff through injury, well on his road to recovery after sustaining a severe hand injury in the Finke Desert Race at the beginning of June.

Grabham made his return to riding last week, now determined to hold onto his points lead in the E1 category aboard KTM’s 250 EXC-F this weekend in South Australia.

“I’m surprised how good it feels on the bike, although my wrist is still only at about 70 percent strength,” Grabham said.

“When I first rode I thought it would be tough to race, but I’ve ridden quite a bit since and seem to be getting around pretty good.

“It’s up to me to try and get some good points, but I’ll be wearing a wrist brace to help me out.”

Grabham will be joined over the weekend by Outright and E2 defending champion Toby Price aboard the 350 EXC-F, as well as E3 class leader Jarrod Bewley on KTM’s 300 EXC two-stroke.
