Tickets to the Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship, went on sale this week throughout Australia, featuring an all-new reduced pricing structure in a bid to attract a greater live fan base in 2011.

According to series promoter Global Action Sports, there’s a 20 percent price reduction in ticketing across the board for this season, with tickets available from as low as $19 plus the booking fee this year.

Super X will feature a down-sized schedule this year, reduced to five rounds in a number of varying stadium sizes and styles, dropping New Zealand from the calendar.

In another attempt to boost live audiences, the television schedule on SPEED will be a delayed coverage instead of the live coverage in prior seasons. It’s expected the telecast will be aired a week following each event.

Now in its fourth year, the pioneering series will kick off with its first ever event in Melbourne on 22 October, then will head to Wollongong on 29 October, Sydney (Campbelltown) on 5 November, Hunter Valley (Maitland) on 12 November and concludes in South East Queensland (Ipswich) on 19 November.
