AMA champion Ryan Dungey lead Team USA to victory in the Motocross of Nations last year.

Team USA’s Motocross of Nations team was revealed at the Unadilla round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, featuring Ryan Dungey, Ryan Villopoto and Blake Baggett.

The trio will race for the United States’ 22nd Motocross of Nations title at Saint Jean d’Angely in France on 17-18 September in a team managed by former world champion Roger DeCoster.

Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s Dungey is the current AMA Motocross Champion in the 450 Class, while Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Villopoto stretched his 2011 points lead after a sterling clean-sweep at Unadilla on Saturday.

“It’s going to be a lot of fun to go over there and we’re going to have a huge target on our backs,” said Villopoto. “I think we have a strong team but we need to have three good motos when we get over there.

“Mistakes can come from any one of us so we need to be sure we’re smart about it.”

Meanwhile, Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Baggett will make his first appearance for Team USA at the MXoN, currently sitting second in the 250 Class of AMA Motocross with eight moto wins to his credit in 2011.

Baggett will race as Team USA’s MX2 (250cc) rider in France, however it’s not yet confirmed who will race MX1 (450cc) or MX3 (Open) between Villopoto and Dungey.
