Victorian Cheyne Boyd has cited a lack of energy on the track following a frustrating weekend at Moree’s penultimate MX Nationals round.

The Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing rider, who finished the four races with 6-6-9-5 results, admitted he struggled from the onset.

“I am really disappointed with my results today,” Boyd said. “I struggled from the get go, I didn’t feel energised or like I could push.

“There was nothing I could do I wasn’t flowing or feeling at one with the bike and when you are like that it takes so much more out of you. If I had pushed any harder I would have been on the ground.

“The only positive out of today was my starts, they were much better. My focus now is on ending the season with a good result at Coolum.

“I like the track and it is sand based so very similar to the one I train on at home.”

Boyd now sits fifth in the series, comfortable in that position with just one round remaining this weekend in Queensland.
