Former national levels riders on track for Vets MX Nationals classes

Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals promoter Williams Event Management has released the entry forms for the Veteran categories to be contested at Coolum’s season finale on 30-31 July.

This year has seen the lower age limit drop by five years in a restructure of the classes, and the 30-39 years field will feature a variety of familiar faces in the mix.

Current JDR Motorex KTM team manager and series compare Danny Ham has been entered, with sources indicating that he’s compete aboard a KTM 250 SX two-stroke. Ham is a former long-time factory rider on the national level.

Also on track will be Carlton Dry Honda Thor Racing team owner Yarrive Konsky, returning after finishing runner-up in the Vets last year at Coolum.

Another former national pro on the gates will be Craig Carmichael aboard a Kawasaki KX450F.

Last year’s champion in the class, Cameron Taylor, hasn’t confirmed his entry at this point.

In the 40 Plus class it’ll be defending champion Darryl King who will rank as the man to beat, one of the top Veteran racers in the world aboard a Rockstar Yamaha.
