Yamaha's Hollis satisfied with second place finish in A4DE

Yamaha's Chris Hollis finished second in the Australian Four Day Enduro last week.

Ballard’s Yamaha rider Chris Hollis is satisfied with his second place finish in Mackay’s Australian Four Day Enduro last weekend after challenging eventual winner Toby Price in the early stages.

Hollis, 27, claimed second Outright and in the E2 Class, pressuring Price on the opening couple of days before being forced to settle for second as Price extended his early lead.

Still, in his return to the A4DE with Yamaha, Hollis was more than content with his second place finishes.

“I’m really happy with my result,” Hollis said. “Everything went well. My Ballard’s Yamaha YZ450F was fantastic, I had no problems with it through the whole event.

“I was trying really hard and I made a few mistakes, had a couple crashes and [Price] inched away from me bit by bit.

“But I tried to keep him honest and tried to keep him as close as I could. I tried to make it an interesting four day to watch.

“All-in-all, I had a lot of fun. The event was run really well, I had a good four days.”

Hollis remains the leader of the Australian Off Road Championship after a consistent year to date, which will continue in South Australia next month.
