MotoOnline.com.au has ridden Kawasaki’s brand new 2012 model KX450F at the national launch, held at Appin in New South Wales today.

The Monster Energy Kawasaki team including factory riders Dean Ferris and Billy Mackenzie were on hand at the launch completing laps alongside the country’s leading media outlets, and the initial response has been a positive one.

After completing laps around the official national track at the Macarthur Motorcycle Club complex, both Ferris and Mackenzie were excited for the Super X season ahead, where they’ll make the race debut at a factory level in Australia.

“It’s a highly anticipated model and one that we expect will get a lot of traffic on the site,” commented MotoOnline.com.au’s Alex Gobert. “The bike has a real racer’s feel to it, and I think it’ll be a popular one for those who race around the world.

“The launch control was one aspect that we were really looking forward to trying out, and it didn’t disappoint. We’ll have the test up this week and will share our thoughts on the ride.”

MotoOnline.com.au will publish the full Launch Test of the 2012 model Kawasaki KX450F on Friday, 15 July, and you can expect a video but Out of Bounds Film Company to be uploaded next week.

The 2012 Kawasaki KX450F is available now at Kawasaki dealerships for the RRP of $11,999.
