The calendar for the 2012 FIM Motocross World Championship has been released, finalised this week by Youthstream and the FIM.

Matterly Basin’s British Grand Prix in mid August will feature an MX festival of sorts, with racing spanning the entire week.

With UEM amatuer races scheduled during the week, plus the Veteran, Women and MX3 series scheduled for the round alongside the MX1 and MX2 classes, it’s shaping up to be the race of the year.

There are also Supercross, Freestyle and rock concerts scheduled during the evening at that event.

This year’s Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations is scheduled for Lommel in Belgium on 23 September.
