Monster Energy Kawasaki team manager Troy Carroll has confirmed to MotoOnline.com.au that Dean Ferris and Billy Mackenzie will remain on the 2011 model KX450F to round out the Rockstar Energy MX Nationals season.

Kawasaki Australia’s factory team has had a stunning year to date with Ferris leading the Pro Open category and Mackenzie third with two round wins, and the team will stick with their race-proven package for this month’s final two rounds.

“We’ll be sticking with what we have to finish the Nationals,” Queensland-based Carroll confirmed this morning.

“We know the bikes are working well for Dean and Billy, the results are good and we’ve already shown the current bikes can win races.

“I’ve been riding the 2012 model a lot and for me I can already tell it’s a better bike, but the boys are comfortable on their current race bikes and I don’t see any reason to switch so close to the end of the season.”

Kawasaki released the brand new 2012 model KX450F this week in dealerships nationwide, the highly anticipated model featuring a heavily revised chassis, launch control and a variety of other updates for the new year.

Carroll confirmed the team will contest the Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship, using the 2012 model, however only Scotsman Billy Mackenzie has been confirmed by the team in the Open class at this point as Ferris will contest the Lites.

The 2012 Kawasaki KX450F is available now at Kawasaki dealerships for the RRP of $11,999.
