Serco Yoshimura Yamaha’s Jake Moss is believed to have avoided major injury despite being forced out of the Wodonga round of the Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals on Sunday.

Moss looked good in practice and was ready to shoot for his fourth podium finish in a row, but a crash in the opening stages of moto one saw him ruled out with a suspected shoulder injury.

It’s expected that Moss will undergo further medical scans this week, however he’s confident he’ll be back for Moree in three weeks time.

“I knew as soon as I fell that I done some damage to my shoulder,” Moss explained.

“The medics checked me out and sent me to hospital for doctors to have a closer look, but haven’t found anything major.

“I will get it looked at again this week.”

Moss already had missed the opening round of the 2011 season with a shoulder injury sustained in a German Supercross event.
