Tickets for Sydney’s Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour season finale will go on sale this week, the event confirmed for Cockatoo Island on 17 September.

The spectacular X-Fighters tour, which features the likes of Robbie Maddison and Blake Williams amongst other leading Aussie FMX heroes, will take place in the heart of Sydney Harbour.

Australia has been a leader in the history of Freestyle Motocross, producing multiple X Games and contest winners over the years, while also proving the ultimate playground for the likes of the Crusty Demons and Nitro Circus tours.

The Red Bull X-Fighters finale will mark round six of the season to wrap up proceedings, the series currently lead by American defending champion Nate Adams.

Recently added to the World Heritage List as part of 11 convict sites, Cockatoo Island is Sydney’s largest island, located 15 minutes by ferry from Circular Quay.

Unique remnants of the island’s history scatter its 18 hectares, including solitary prison cells, hand carved grain silos, a military guardhouse and convict workshops.

The island was also an industrial school, a reformatory and one of Australia’s biggest shipyards.
