Sources in the United States are reporting that American Honda factory rider Trey Canard has been ruled out of the remaining three rounds of the Monster Energy, AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship.

Reports indicate that Canard was injured and suffered a broken femur bone in his leg while practice at Competitive Edge MX Park in Southern California.

The injury comes as a devastating shock for the rookie standout, already winning three races this season and currently sits fifth in the standings, just 20 points off title leader Ryan Villopoto.

Early reports indicate that the injured Canard be out for up to six weeks, but should be back during the early stages of the AMA Motocross Championship.

MotoOnline.com.au sends its best wishes to Canard and the whole team at Honda during this time.
