New dates for the AORC have been confirmed for September due to the postponement of the A4DE.

Motorcycling Australia has confirmed the date and venue changes for the 2011 Yamaha Australian Off Road Championship (AORC).

Due to the 2011 Australian 4 Day Enduro (A4DE) moving to 7-10 July, AORC rounds seven and eight have been rescheduled to take place at Mt Seaview, NSW, on 10-11 September.

These rounds will become rounds nine and 10 and the rounds slated for 27-28 August at Callington in South Australia, will become rounds seven and eight.

The rescheduled rounds will be Enduro Format for both days including Juniors and Seniors, however registration will not be required as the entire course is on private property.

Event organiser Denise Hore said that it was a tough decision to move the events, and one not taken lightly.

“We have taken into consideration the best interests of the majority of riders in rescheduling the AORC, whilst also considering a number of factors including availability of transponders and championship events already scheduled in the different states,” Hore said.

“Unfortunately due to calendar clashes there was no opportunity to schedule the event earlier and this date presented the best option for us.”

The A4DE was rescheduled as a result of recent extreme weather conditions in the Mackay region, causing significant damage to the track and surrounding areas.

The AORC rounds seven and eight were originally scheduled to take place in Broadford, Victoria from 9-10 July.
