MA's Moto Rodeo for Flood Relief heads to South Australia

The South Australian leg of the Motorcycling Australia Riders’ Division Moto Rodeo for Flood Relief will take place this weekend at Tailem Bend.

After the success of the Victorian Moto Rodeo at the State Motorcycle Complex in Broadford, all is in readiness for Saturday’s event, with legendary Australian Stunt Rider Allan Morrisson headlining a jam-packed day of riding and activities.

Morrisson has been the star of the V8 Supercar Series, travelling the country doing stunt shows at each of the rounds and has been busy over the summer months perfecting new tricks that will be unleashed for the first time at Tailem Bend.

“We’ve been working hard over the Summer to develop some new tricks and stunts, and this will be a good chance to try them out before the V8 Supercar season starts up again’” Morrisson said.

Taking part in his first charity event, Morrisson is eager to do his part to help those doing it tough.

“Driving through Victoria earlier this year I saw the devastation the floods caused there and I can only imagine it was equally as bad in Queensland, so I’m more than happy to do my bit to help these people out.”

Excited by the great day of riding ahead at Tailem Bend, Morrisson will be pulling out all stops and encourages everyone to come and be a part of it.

“I can’t wait for Saturday,” he said.” “I’m going all out, bringing my dirt riding gear, road racing leathers and motocross bike – It’s going to be a blast. I’ve got all my mates coming too, so everyone should come along.”

Not only will the stunt rider extraordinaire be on show, but riders will have the chance to learn how to pop a wheelie on the amazing Wheelie Machine.

For those wishing to hit the dirt track then Tailem Bend is as good as it gets, with riders having access to one of the premier dirt tracks in Australia.

The Riders’ Division Honda CB 250 will be on hand for those wishing to compete in the Moto-Gymkhana.
