TwoTwo Motorsports star Chad Reed is the first to admit his riding will be the key to the team’s first victory.

Back home on the East Coast after spending the past two months in California, Reed has been acquainting himself with his purpose built test track that was recently redesigned by legendary track builder Mark Barnett.

The two-time Supercross World Champion holds an impressive record at Houston’s Reliant Stadium, the venue for this weekend’s sixth round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, having never placed outside the top three.

“It’s good to finally be back in my home town with familiar surroundings,” Reed admitted. “I’m just trying to get back into the norm, It’s been a bad week of weather here so I actually only rode the Supercross track once but it was great to ride around in the wet, the mud and the rain.

“I am happy with every other aspect of the team. Now I am just focusing on myself and gaining the speed I previously had,” he added.

The proud Australian has also just announced that he has donated his iconic green and gold ‘Australia Day’ riding gear to auction for the Premiers Disaster Relief Appeal.

Reed wore the jersey and pants at the fourth round of the series in Oakland where TwoTwo Motorsports recorded its first ever podium.

“I don’t think we can do enough for our fellow Australian and Queenslanders at the moment, two disasters in such a short space of time is just tragic,” Reed continued.

“This gear means a lot to me considering I wore it at the event where we got our first podium, but I’m sure it’s going to raise some much needed funds for the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal.

“I’ll be making a further announcement next week regarding another initiative for the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal with the help of my good sponsor Bel-Ray,” he concluded.
