Australia’s Broc Parkes has continued testing with the Provec Motocard.com factory Kawasaki World Supersport team at Almeria in Spain.

Parkes set a new track best for the team with a 1:37.3, putting him in good stead for the 2011 season opener at Phillip Island next month.

“We got some things really worked out for this test and we went very well,” Parkes commented. “We were under the team’s previous best at this track, which I think was set by Joan Lascorz last year.

“We have improved the bike quite a bit, the whole package, and some new electronics. I think that was quite a big step to get sorted.”

In a release issued this morning, Kawasaki also confirmed that ASBK Champion Bryan Staring will contest the first WSBK round for the Pedercini Kawasaki team in Australia.

Staring will join Pedercini regular Roberto Rolfo at the round, the team not yet securing a full time Superbike rider for the 2011 season.
