Former Australian Off Road Champion and Australian Four Day Enduro winner Glen Kearney will return to Australia in 2011 to spearhead Husqvarna’s AORC effort.

The move was confirmed at today’s launch of the 2011 model Husqvarna TE and TC 449 in Batemans Bay, New South Wales, and Kearney says he’s excited for his first season of racing in Australia in six years.

“I’ve been with Husky for the past three years in America, and the Paul Feeney Group provides the solid structure and good team base that I need to be competitive back home,” Kearney said.

“I’m looking forward to the sprints, but hopefully there are some cross country formats as well so I can use my experience gained in the GNCC.”

Kearney will contest the E2 category aboard the TE 310, set to be joined by European former world number two and ISDE winner Bartosz Oblucki full time in 2011.

Completing Husqvarna’s AORC line-up will be the team’s former MX Nationals factory rider Matt Ryan, as well as Luka Bussa.

Stay tuned on Friday for the official launch report featuring the TE and TC 449 models.
