Unit will celebrate the grand opening of its first concept store at Maroochydore on Saturday.

Unit, one of the world’s fastest growing action sports brand, will celebrate the grand opening of its first concept store at Maroochydore, Queensland, on Saturday 13 November.

From 9.00am the store based at the Sunshine Plaza will explode into life with appearances and signing sessions with Crusty Demons riders Matt Schubring, Kain Saul and the USA’s Beau Bamburg.

The beautiful Unit girls, including the face of Unit’s PeeWee, Linguistic and Skyway tees, Kat Cross, will also be on hand for photos and autographs.

The Sea FM crew will air live from the venue during the afternoon, as the expected hundreds of shoppers converge on the store for great discounts and their chance to win VIP tickets to the Brisbane Crusty Demons show.

The opening of the brand’s concept store was one of several milestones reached by Unit in 2010, as it continues to experience exponential growth.

“It is very surreal for me to be opening a Unit concept store,” commented founding director Paul Everest. “We chose the stunning Sunshine Coast location as it has a large population interested in two-wheeled action sports.”

This year Unit also opened its U.S. headquarters based in Los Angeles, as well as appointing several key international executives.

Unit’s growth in Australia has been unprecedented since its inception in 2002 and the brand is now experiencing similar success internationally.

Since launching overseas last year, Unit is now sold in several countries, including USA, Canada, New Zealand and France.

“This is the most exciting time for Unit and our 60 great staff,” says Everest. “It’s a dream come true for my brother and I who started Unit with $600 in a Gold Coast garage in 2002.”
