Morgan Park at Warwick in Queensland hosted its first motorcycle race meeting on a newly extended circuit on 25-26 September.

The event was a two-plus-four meeting co-promoted by the Motorcycle Sportsmen and the Warwick District Sporting Car Club.

The additions to the circuit make the main track three kilometres in length, with a total of seven different configurations now licensed for two-wheel use.

Turning left instead of right at turn eight, the slowest part of the circuit has been replaced with a higher speed section more suited to large capacity machines than previously.

The length of the main straight has increased by 150 metres and has a crest, resulting in the some spectacular wheelies where new comes back onto old, 130 metres before the finish line.

Runoff has also been extended at Turn One.

The program included Supermoto machines, which used one of the shorter configurations of track.

It is expected that a permanent dirt section will be installed in the near future.

Morgan Park has become a regular on the Queensland road race and Supermoto calendar in recent years.
