Motorcycling Australia has announced that five Australian riders have been approved as wild card entries in two classes for the 2010 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.

The following riders have been approved by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme:

125cc Grand Prix
Jordan Zamora (Queensland)
Josh Hook (New South Wales)
Levi Day (South Australia)
Nicholas Diles (Victoria)

Moto2
Alex Cudlin (New South Wales)

Stay tuned for an update on Endurance World Championship regular Cudlin’s shock Moto2 entry, expected to be with a European team for the event.

Cudlin’s brother Damian competed in the Sachsenring round of the Moto2 series and scored a superb seventh place finish for the Pons team.

Former Australian Supersport Champion Shannon Johnson is also expected to line-up on the Moto2 grid, as reported previously on MotoOnline.com.au.

The Australian round of the 2010 Moto Grand Prix will take place at Phillip Island from 15-17 October.
