Queenslander Robbie Marshall is one of the best when it comes to switching between Motocross and Freestyle.

Robbie Marshall has been around in the Motocross, Supercross and Freestyle Motocross scene for what feels like an eternity now. However he is still one of the quickest blokes out there and may even be yet to hit his peak.

Marshall has just come fresh off a win in the inaugural Red Bull XRAY held in Picton, New South Wales, and at 26 years of age, the Queenslander is one of the top privateers out there.

Set to race a Yamaha YZ250 two-stroke in the Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship, don’t count out Marshall to be battling for race wins during 2010.

As you know, UNPLUGGED! isn’t like your usual sort of interview and is mostly a bit of fun, so enjoy!

Career highlight?
Everything I’ve done has been just average in my eyes. I’ve finished top three in Australian championships numerous times and got a podium at FMX Australian X Games. The most recent that felt pretty good but would have to be winning Red Bull XRAY Speed and Style!

Toughest race ever?
Can’t really name one. Coolum nationals this year was a pretty tough format over two days in the sand though!

Long term goal?
To get back on track with my racing and win a national title.

Fiercest rival?
Now days most guys out on the track are my rival, but back in the day I would have to say Cam Taylor and Ryan Marmont were always competition and consistent at the races.

Junk food secrets?
It’s not really a secret, but I loooove Maccas haha!

Superstitions?
Always put my right boot on first and my left glove first.

Best all-time moto DVD/video?
Crusty Demons of Dirt or Winners Take All, the movie!

What do you drive?
2008 model silver Hice van – slow diesel!

Favourite magazine?
You know what, I hardly ever look at the mags. Freerider MX is good but.

What’s on the iPod?
A bit of everything… just no country music.

Freestyle or Motocross?
Both!!!

Motos or Freestyle Sessions?
Motos, I would have to say. Even though it hurts more, I can only do a few days at FMX practice and then I get a bit over it.

MX Nationals or Nitro Circus?
Nitro Circus, way fun!

Europe or USA?
USA.

250 two-stroke or 450F?
Two-banger all the way… watch out for it in SX!!!

Bilko Williams or Cam Sinclair?
I would have to say Cam Sinclair, because what he has been through and come back to is unbelievable. They are both mad dogs but!

Blonde or brunette?
Blonde

If you weren’t a racer, you would be a?
Freestyler. And when I’m not a freestyler, I’m a racer haha!

Final say…
If you’re not having fun you shouldn’t be doing it!

Plus, thanks to all the support from my long term sponsors: Yamaha Australia/Queensland, Northstar Yamaha, Unit Clothing, Advanti wheels, Oakley eyewear, Etnies shoes, Nixon watches, Serco, Answer apparel, Motorex Oils, Stealth Sprockets and anyone else I’ve forgotten!
