General: Broadford Bike Bonanza set to expand for 2011

Motorcycling Australia has announced that the Honda Broadford Bike Bonanza (HBBB) will be returning once again in 2011 and will be staged over the Easter weekend on 23-24 April.

The third instalment of the non-competitive Bonanza will again be held at the State Motorcycling Complex at Broadford, Victoria, which is situated one hour north of Melbourne.

The 2011 Bonanza will feature a smorgasbord of action in virtually every motorcycling discipline, and MA Chief Executive Officer, David White, is forecasting the most successful HBBB to date.

“Each year so far the Honda Broadford Bike Bonanza has increased significantly in the number of entrants, and the number of spectators, so we’re increasing the entire infrastructure for 2011 accordingly,” White said.

“We have taken note of the feedback from this year – for instance having the internal roads sealed made a big difference – and we hope that further improvements will be in place for next year. We can see that camping is a very popular aspect of the weekend, so there will be updates there too.”

The HBBB is the only event where you can ride in the disciplines of Speedway, Dirt Track, Observed Trials, Motocross, Enduro and Road Racing at the one venue, making it a truly unique event on a global scale.

Stay tuned to the MA website where all the latest news and information about the 2011 HBBB will be posted – including details of next year’s headline acts – and where you can re-live all the action from the 2010 HBBB through our news and photo galleries.
