The Demolition Plus team of Gareth Jones, Craig Coxhell and Russell Holland won last year's 6 Hour.

This 6 Hour Motorcycle Endurance Race has received Australian Championship status for 2010, moving to a new home at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in Victoria.

After a successful return at Sydney’s Oran Park Raceway last last year, this year’s 6 Hour will be held on 3-5 December, again supported by lubricant giant Bel-Ray as the event’s title sponsor.

Over 40 teams will be vying to go down in history as the winner of the first ever Australian Endurance Championship, with the event organisers announcing a prize pool of $45,000 in cash, contingency and prizes on offer.

The 6 Hour classes for 2010 reflect the current status of racing in Australia and will include Superbike, Supersport, Superstock 1000, Superstock 600 and Production categories, with the race set to commence with the traditional Le Mans-style start at 10.30am as 6 Hour legend and grand prix hero Kevin Magee gives the riders their starting orders.

A formidable support cast will be out in force as the final round of the National BEARS Championship comes down to the wire at Phillip Island along with Australia’s youngsters starring in the MRRDA Championship, while the Australian Sidecar Championship will also be out in force.

Supplementary rules and regulations have been released for this years’ event and are available on the website along with event information and entry forms at .
