Italian manufacturer Husqvarna has taken the wraps of its anticipated CR 50 Mini Cross motorcycle, the model first announced last last year.

The bold move by Husqvarna, to produce a competition specification machine of a high level of quality to meet the demands of Australia’s junior racing fraternity is set to attract significant numbers of potential purchasers that are limited to a small number of manufacturers offering products in this popular market segment.

The all new CR 50 represents the pinnacle of Husqvarna’s proven off road product development with the use of quality materials and components that in turn offer a standard equipment level that is sure to become the benchmark for the category.

The model features a 50cc two-stroke engine, multi-element Chrome Molybdenum frame, a detachable alloy sub-frame, 32mm Marzocchi forks, a Sachs shock absorber, and a waved-disc front brake.

The addition of a dual clutch transmission enables the CR 50 to be tailored to the individual requirements of both entry level and experienced riders alike.

First stocks are expected to be hitting dealer floors around the country in late August-September 2010.
