ASBK: Broadford ASBK round reduced to three-day schedule

Australian Superbike Championship promoter International Entertainment Group (IEG) has announced that next month’s Broadford round will be reduced to a three-day event on 2-4 July.

The Victorian-based event was originally scheduled to be held over four days in a double-header round for the development classes of the series, however the most recent announcement comes as IEG said it reduced the schedule in a response to competitor’s requests.

“This decision has been based upon the continual effort IEG are making to reduce the costs for its competitors to compete in Australia’s premier racing championship,” the statement read.

IEG director Yarrive Konsky commented on the decision.

“My customers are passionate about racing- it’s my aim to provide the ultimate racing experience at an affordable price,” he explained.

Round four and four A of the series will see riders be able to qualify and compete for two separate rounds of the ASBK Championship and take away double points for the weekend.

Saturday will feature qualifying and two races, while Sunday’s schedule will also feature the same proceedings.

Competitors should contact Ben Williams on (03) 9785 2786 or email [email protected] for further details.
