ASBK: Live television announced for final rounds on Seven

International Entertainment Group director Yarrive Konsky has revealed that the final two rounds of the 2010 Viking Group Australian Superbike Championship will be televised live on the Seven Network.

Following on from yesterday’s announcement that the series’ remainder will be broadcast on FOX SPORTS, Konsky dropped the bombshell during Saturday’s riders’ briefing at Queensland Raceway’s third round this morning.

The final two rounds of the series will take place alongside the V8 Supercars Championship Series at the L&H Phillip Island 500 on 10-12 September and the Falken Tasmania Challenge at Symmons Plains on 12-14 November.

It is believed that the premier Superbike class will receive a highlights package for the first race to be contested on Saturday, with Sunday’s outing set to receive full live coverage.

Speculation continues mount that IEG is in negotiations to televise the entire series live in 2011.

Stay tuned as more information comes to hand regarding the coverage throughout the weekend.
