Williams Event Management’s Kevin Williams, promoter of the 2010 Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals series, has confirmed that round five of the series to be held at Raymond Terrace in New South Wales this weekend will be going ahead as planned despite massive amounts of rainfall in the lead-up to the round.

“We have been in regular contact with not only MX Central but also the rider and team representatives for the championship over the last week monitoring the situation,” Williams said.

“There has been some pretty heavy rainfall in the area however we’re confident that the organiser will have the venue ready by Sunday and intend to go ahead with the round as planned.”

Showers and the chance of thunderstorms are forecast for Sunday’s race day, with winds also set to make for a difficult day of on-track action.
