Oz MX: MNSW launches Call To Arms Ride Day at Lakes

Motorcycling NSW has announced that it will host the first ever MNSW Call To Arms Recreational Charity Ride Day in conjunction with the Cancer Council, to be held at the Lake Macquarie Motorcycle Club on 29 May with all proceeds going to the Cancer Council.

According to a release from MNSW, the idea behind the concept was for it to be the launching pad for a host of rider-orientated activities and initiatives over coming months, aimed at bringing more riding opportunities and fun activities back to the riders, whilst encouraging others to bring their friends and family along as well.

The Call To Arms ride day is open to all MA and non-MA licence holders and will give everyone the opportunity to ride a fully-prepped Lakes track, as well as get some track time in the lead-up to round three of the 2010 The Helmet Warehouse NSW Motocross Championship.

Another highlight on the day will be the presence of some of the country’s leading professional riders from Australia’s leading factory teams to sign autographs. There will also be a sausage sizzle, coffee and food stalls – as well as trade stands, give-aways, raffles, a jumping castle for the kids and High Roller Energy will be on-hand throughout the day for those who need a little kick.

As an additional bonus, those who complete and pay an early entry will receive a $10.00 discount and will also receive a ticket to attend round five of MX Nationals at Raymond Terrace the following day free of charge.

Early entry is just $30.00, whilst entry on the day is $40.00. A $5.00 discount applies for those who elect to nominate a flag marshall, with all proceeds going to the Cancer Council’s Call To Arms fund.
