MX Sports Pro Racing, in conjunction the Alliance of Action Sports, have announced that Pala Raceway, located in Southern California, will join the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship calendar and will serve as the season finale for the 2010 season.

Pala Raceway is one of the newest motocross playgrounds in Southern California, based just outside the sport’s hotbed in Murrieta and Temecula, Pala is focused on providing the best riding facility possible to the thousands of motocross riders in the region.

Whether young or old, a novice or a veteran, Pala Raceway offers a variety of tracks for all riders with the mission of eventually becoming the motocross Mecca of California.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Pala Raceway to the 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship schedule,” said MX Sports vice president Davey Coombs. “Ryan Ouellette, in conjunction with The Pala Band of Mission Indians, has built an incredible venue for motocross competition.

“They have placed a strong emphasis on making their track a truly world class facility, and thus, we felt it was the ideal location to host the 2010 season finale.”

Since opening its gates to the motocross community, Pala has quickly become one of the most popular sites for all riders, including the same pro competitors that will hit the track in just four months. Recently, it was selected as the site of the new DC Shoes Motocross Training Facility.

“We are very proud to have been selected to host a round of this prestigious series” said Ryan Ouellette of Pala. “We fully expect to pull out all the stops on this event and have already assembled a strong team to help us build out the facility, including former racer Ryan Hughes, who has a tremendous amount of global racing experience. It is our goal to turn this event into a rich Southern California motocross tradition for years to come.”

“The NPG is pleased to welcome Pala Raceway as our newest member,” added RedBud Motocross’ Amy Ritchie, of the National Promoters Group (NPG). “Not only is Pala a first class destination with the resort and casino, but it is also headed up by real motocross enthusiasts, all of whom have a deep passion for the sport. These guys are going to fit right in, and I can’t wait to see the facility and the event.”

The 12th and final round of the season will mark the series’ triumphant return to the heart of motocross country and will allow the diehard fans in Southern California the coveted opportunity to watch a pair of champions be crowned for the first time since 2007.
