Scott Goggles has released the new weapon against fog with the 87 OTG Fan goggle.

The new goggle incorporates a small electronic fan inside the goggle frame to remove any fogging even in the most extreme of conditions, and it’s available set up on a SCOTT 87 OTG goggle, or as a fan unit only.

The Fan will fit onto all SCOTT Adult goggles (and most other brands) however the reason the company sells the unit fitted onto the OTG (over the glasses goggle) is that they have found in testing that the OTG models are the best fit due to the higher volume and airflow characteristics.

Once the Fan kit is installed on a goggle, the rider will want to keep the fan installed because small holes will be made in the vent foam and if the unit is removed those holes could let excess dirt into the goggle.

The fan can be fitted to almost any goggle brand.

The fan can be fitted to almost any goggle brand.

This means that if a rider chooses to install a fan kit they should intend to use it for the life of the goggle.

FAN INFORMATION:

  • The fan pulls air and moisture off the goggle
  • The fan has three settings – on, off and auto (auto senses for moisture every 15 minutes and if detected it will turn on)
  • The fan uses a AAA battery
  • $129.95 – fitted on a Scott 87 OTG goggle
  • $69.95 – unit only to fit into most goggles
