Oz MX: Honda Motokids continues positive commencement

The Honda Motokids recently took on the Broadmeadows MX Park near Melbourne, Victoria, for their second event on the 2010 calendar.

A large number of kids on their fun bikes had the opportunity to ride all three tracks at the Broadmeadows complex, receiving some handy tips along the way from event director and owner of the ‘Building Champions Program’ Lee Hogan.

“We were treated with terrific weather and the complex here is perfect for the young kids with a beginner, intermediate and advanced level track to test yourself on,” said Hogan. “We are very happy with how quickly the Honda Motokids initiative has taken off and if the kids are anything to go by it’s only going to continue to grow.”

Once again MXTV owner and co host Brendan Bell was on hand doing some filming while his young son Cameron participated in the activities.

“It’s a terrific idea that Hoges and Honda have come up with. To combine a bit of fun riding with some light hearted coaching and a few games is an ideal recipe for a fun day for these kids,” said Bell.

The Honda Motokids heads next to Gwandalan in the Newcastle region of New South Wales for the first non-Victorian event of the year. Big numbers are expected for the event with a huge number of established fun-bike clubs in the region.

Honda’s NSW regional Manager Johnny Wilson has played a major role in piecing together the first of the NSW events.

“This is just what we have needed up here in NSW for quite a while now. The dealers are very excited to get involved and we are looking forward to getting the Gwandalan event under way,” said Wilson.
