General: Ducati announces worldwide photography contest

To celebrate the anticipated Multistrada 1200, Ducati Motor Holding has announced a competition to inspire and capture reality within photographs.

Participants are asked to register and upload four images, one for each of the following ideals – ‘Daily life’, ‘Freedom’, ‘Adventure’ and ‘Adrenaline’. Each ideal corresponds with a mode on the Multistrada 1200 that is soon to revolutionise the motorcycling industry.

A brand new competition, that aims to express emotions, ensures that everyone is eligible to enter. You don’t have to be a Ducati owner, or even a motorcycle rider – the competition is open to all.

It’s a worldwide competition, with Ducati Australia hoping to show what Australia’s made of.

The three projects that receive the highest number of pubic votes at 11:59pm (Italian time) on 30 April 2010 will be awarded as winners and receive the following prizes:
Winner: A trip for one person in Spain and Morocco
Second: Technical outfit for Multistrada 1200 consisting of jacket, pants, boots, helmet, gloves and visor
Third: A camera Nikon D5000 + Nikkor 18-55 VR

A special jury, made up by a professional photographer and different Ducati staff members, will select among all the works published on the website, the project which better corresponds to creativity criteria and better reflects the values of Ducati and that, even without using the image of a bike, was able to better interpret the soul of Ducati as the soul of the Multistrada 1200.

The selected work will enter the contest to take part as official photo-reporter at the WDW2010 which will be held in Misano from 10-13 June 2010. The fantastic prize includes a camera Nikon D300S + Nikkor 18-200 VR II NEW, a free pass for WDW and living expenses for four days.
