Cooper has joined Suzuki in Australia for the 2010 MX Nationals.

Team Rockstar Motul Suzuki has confirmed that it will field Kiwi Cody Cooper in the 2010 Rockstar Energy MX Nationals as the Pro Open contender, to be joined by young gun Pro Lites rider Lawson Bopping.

Cooper and bopping will spearhead the factory Suzuki effort for the Motocross, with Bopping also contesting Super X for the team, while it has also been announced that the team has strengthened its partnership with ONE Industries, one of the leading forces in graphics, helmets, motocross apparel and casual wear.

With US-based factory Suzuki riders Matt and Jake Moss already aligned to the ONE Industries brand this partnership ensures that all Suzuki Australian factory Motocross and Supercross riders will run ONE Industries gear.

The deal includes Cooper and Bopping (Pro Lites MX and SX) and the Suzuki Development Team of Hamish Dobbyn (U19 MX), Kyle Peters (Pro Lites SX) and Kieran Tisdale (Pro Lites MX and SX).

“Suzuki has long recognised ONE Industries as the world leader in motocross design, with our factory squad’s race bikes running ONE Industries graphic kits and seat covers since 2004. We are very excited to announce that we have expanded this partnership to include the fantastic ONE Industries motocross apparel and helmets,” Perry Morison, general manager of motorcycles at Suzuki Australia, said.

After a sensational 2009 season where Team Rockstar Motul Suzuki claimed both the National Motocross and Supercross Pro Lites Championships, 2010 sees a new look for the team with new riders and gear sponsor.

“ONE Industries is proud and excited to be the apparel sponsor for Team Rockstar Motul Suzuki in 2010,” Bernie Ryan, managing director of C&R Imports said. “For several seasons now, ONE Industries has provided graphics for the Suzuki team and we know the team is always fiercely competitive and its riders, mechanics and management know what it takes to win championships.

“We look forward to the opportunity of showcasing our latest ONE Industries designs and models, on board the factory race outfit.”

Team Rockstar Motul Suzuki will be in action at the first round of the Australian National Motocross Championship on 28 March, the series commencing at Horsham in Victoria.
