Oz MX: Test and Tune day set for MX Nationals at Horsham

As preparation for the opening round of the 2010 Rockstar MX Nationals on 28 March, the Horsham Motorcycle Club (HMCC) are offering all Australian Motocross Championship competitors the opportunity to attend a ‘Test and Tune’ day on Sunday 28 February.

Riders can expect to see a revamped track surface and layout with HMCC President Mark Hancock commenting that a lot of work had gone into the track over the last month.

“We’ve been working on the track for the last month, improving the surface and putting in some new sections,” Hancock said. “With straw and mulch now being incorporated into the track surface, it’s like a garden bed for the riders to carve up.

“The way the track is looking right now it will be a very challenging circuit, throwing out some deep ruts for the riders to negotiate. We’re pumped for the first round of the Rockstar MX Nationals, especially with a television package set for 2010, and can’t wait for gates to drop on 28 March.”

The ‘Test and Tune’ format will consist of seven half hour blocks for Nationals competitors, costing $95.00 and it will be the last opportunity for competitors to ride the track, with HMCC closing the circuit in final preparations for the 2010 Rockstar MX Nationals.
