AMA SBK: Bostrom confirmed for Pat Clark Yamaha team

Ex-Superbike World Championship race winner Ben Bostrom will contest the 2010 AMA Superbike Championship for the newly formed Yamaha-supported Pat Clark Motorsports road race team, which today announced that its 2010 sponsor roster includes the prestigious Palms Hotel & Casino as well as the celebrated Las Vegas Motor Speedway – both in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“We are very excited about the upcoming 2010 road race season,” said team technical firector Ron Heben. “Having sponsors like the Palms Hotel & Casino and Las Vegas Motor Speedway is great for Yamaha and fairly unprecedented for our sport. Our hope is that this is just the beginning for increasing non-endemic support for road racing in the U.S.”

The two-rider Pat Clark Motorsports team of Bostrom and Chris Clark will be making its AMA Superbike debut today and Wednesday at the test at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. Bostrom and Clark will both contest the 2010 AMA Superbike class aboard 2010 Yamaha R1 models.

Handling crew chief duties for the two riders and their Pat Clark Motorsports Yamaha R1s are veteran mechanics Robbie Peterson for Bostrom and Tony Romo for Clark. Rounding out the team are Heben, chassis mechanics Jefferson Burks and Chris Roman, specialties technicians Ray Johnson and Bob Reichmann, data technician Sander Donkers and suspension technician Eric Haeselich.

Joining Yamaha, the Palms, Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Pat Clark Motorsports in sponsoring the team are Graves Motorsports and Chicken Hawk Tire Warmers.
