Australian importer for Aprilia motorcycles John Sample Automotive (JSA) has today announced the first deliveries of the new Aprilia RSV4 R superbike will commence early March next year, priced at a recommended retail price of $23,990 plus on road costs.

“The RSV4 R is the motorcycle that many of our customers have been waiting for,” explained JSA national manager Kris Matich. “The RSV4 R, just like the RSV4 Factory, has been developed by Aprilia’s racing department and features the latest state of the art technology, high quality components, and typically Aprilia styling and performance.

“We belive that with a Recommended Retail price of $23,990.00 plus on road costs this motorcycle represents amazing value for the supersports bike rider and is sure to make a huge impact on the Australian market in 2010. The RSV4’s success in it’s first year in the World Superbike Championship in 2009, has proved the bikes quality, reliability and performance.”

Aprilia will be unveiling the RSV4 R at the Motorcycle Expo at the World Superbike Championship at Phillip Island on 26-28 February.

The RSV4 R features the same power plant as in the Factory model being a 999.6 cc 65° V4 cylinder engine, the latest generation triple-map integrated ride-by-wire electronic management system, a cassette type gearbox, slipper clutch, anodised aluminium frame and swing arm and fully adjustable suspension.
