International Entertainment Group has announced that Australian owned and operated company Insure My Ride has entered in to its second year as presenting sponsor of the Australian Superbike Championship.

Insure My Ride will remain as the presenting sponsor for the ASBK series for a second season in succession, and in 2009 the motorcycle insurance company supported the Australian Superbike, Motocross and Supercross championships respectively.

As the presenting sponsor, Insure My Ride has been awarded naming rights to the Supersport category, the premier 600cc series in the nation.

“We indentify that our consumers enjoy riding and racing,” commented IMR national sales manager Paul Gates. “It’s been a terrific relationship that we look forward to growing. Being associated as a leading sponsor is important as we believe in supporting Australians and the domestic scene.”

IEG series director Yarrive Konsky is also excited about the news, looking forward to promoting the ASBK series for the second year in a row.

I can’t wait for round one next year – 2009 was an amazing adventure that started at the World Superbikes in Philip Island, from that weekend forth riders set new lap records during some infamous battles Australia wide.

“2010 promises to provide great racing and some new rivalries. There will be three new European manufactures supporting factory teams at the highest level and you can bet the Japanese teams will be going all out to remain victorious against their international counterparts.”
