MotoGP: Stoner victory celebrated by Ducati Champions Club

DUCATI AUSTRALIA:

The biggest event in Australian motorcycling is over – and what a weekend it was! Reflecting back on a fantastic GP weekend, there is no doubt that the Ducati Champions Club was the place to be!

Over the three days, Ducati Champions Club guests were housed away from the rain and cold, provided three meals a day as well as unlimited first grade coffee and non-alcoholic beverages whilst enjoying the best views of the track. With comfortable indoor seating, outdoor garden seating and the prime views from the Ducati grandstand – it was the perfect setting to see Australia’s favourite motorcycling hero Casey Stoner win his third consecutive MotoGP title at Phillip Island.

Those at the Ducati Champions Club got a special appearance by Nicky Hayden and Casey Stoner himself just hours before the final race on Sunday-the guys answered questions and had their photographs taken, while the Ducatisti got a chance to wish them good luck!  Amongst fellow Ducati enthusiasts, Champions Club patrons were treated to two pit walks daily and many of those resulted in up close rider sightings and some even managed to get autographs from their heros.

A huge Ducati flag flown in from Japan especially for the event was spread across the grandstand three times over the weekend to show support for Casey, Nicky and the rest of the Ducati team-resulting in great aerial shots which are being broadcast by international media.

All patrons were handed goody bags as they came into the facility, containing the same Ducati hat & t-shirt worn at GP’s all over the world – there was a sea of red cheering Casey on from the Ducati grandstand on Sunday. Not only did Champions Club patrons walk away with a great weekend, one lucky gentleman walked away with an appropriately red Ilve coffee machine won through a draw in the facility on Sunday.

As Stoner flew through the finish line already way ahead of Valentino Rossi, the Ducati Champions Club experience was complete-it couldn’t possibly get any better than that!
