Oz MX: Minibike racing still alive and kicking at The Hunter Jam

ANDREW SPENCE:

Minibike racing is still alive and kicking in Australia, as was shown on the 25th July at Rusty Promotions’ latest event, ‘The Hunter Jam’.

The action was thick and fast as one hundred and twenty riders took to the challenging Central Coast Junior Motorcycle Club circuit at Kurri Kurri, NSW. The finals saw some epic battles across all classes, however it was the premier 12” pro class that stole the show.

Ty Halliday broke away to lead the pack early in the race, however after running into problems with a fallen rider, it was Greg ‘the godfather’ Timmins who took the win, pushed all the way to the line by Matt ‘Boxy’ Skerret.

October 3rd will see Rusty Promotions’ next meeting held at Gwandalan, NSW. With a 20 rider grid and track modifications currently underway, it promises to be another great day of adult minibike action!
