Off-Road: Australia's Wellard-backed ISDE teams announced

Motorcycling Australia (MA) has finalised the make-up of the Wellard Australian Teams which will be taking part at the 2009 International Six Day Enduro.

The event will take place in Figueira da Foz, Portugal from 12-17 October this year, and will consist of the following rider line-ups:

Wellard Australian Senior Trophy Team:
Stefan Merriman (Nelsons Bay, NSW)
AJ Roberts (Ningi, QLD)
Chris Hollis (Port Macquarie, NSW)
Kirk Hutton (Kobble Creek, QLD)
Glen Kearney (Picton, NSW)
Shane Watts (Maffra, VIC – currently residing in the USA)

Wellard Australian Junior Trophy Team:
Jarrod Bewley (North Richmond, NSW)
Geoff Braico (Wahroonga, NSW)
Josh Green (Soldiers Point, NSW)
Toby Price (Singleton, NSW)

Reserve:
Andrew Lloyd (Barnsley, NSW)
Wellard Australian Women’s Trophy Team:
Alison Parker (Glasshouse Mountains, QLD)
Jemma Wilson (Neerdie, QLD)
Jacquie Jones (Wauchope, NSW)

The 2009 ISDE represents the first occasion where Australia is sending a Women’s Trophy team to compete.

In 2008 Australia finished an impressive second place in the Junior World Trophy Class and sixth in the Senior World Trophy Class.
