Oz MX: Veterans Cup to be held at final MX Nationals event

.!.

MOTORCYCLING AUSTRALIA:

The Veterans are back and will be lining up at the final round of the 2009 Australian Motocross Championship to be held at Coolum Pines Motocross Park on 1-2 August.

The Veterans Cup will be running as a support category and is open to riders ages 40 and over.

Entry forms for the Australian Vets Cup are now available from the Series website at www.ozmotox.com.au and must be returned to Williams Event Management (WEM) by 22 July 2009.

The Cup will be sponsored by Dirt Action, Nine Two Decals, and Woodstock with Dirt Actions Managing Editor, Ben Foster, saying that he’s thrilled to be a part of the Veterans Cup.

“On behalf of all the staff at Dirt Action, I want to say how thrilled we are to be a part of the Veterans Cup,” Foster said.

“There are still a huge number of riders in the age bracket that love nothing more than the feeling of lining up for the start of a Motocross race, however they’ve been pretty limited to State and Club level events in the past.

“However, now with the help of WEM, Woodstock and Nine Two Decals, we can let the not-so-old blokes hang bars at a National event again!”

The seventh round of the 2009 Australian Motocross Championship will be held at Lake Macquarie Motorcycle Club on Sunday 26 July:

Cessnock Road, Ryhope
