WSBK: O'Halloran happy with Althea Honda debut, Atcho fifth

First day of two-day test session for Honda Althea Team at the remodeled Imola circuit. The team continued their preparations for the last races of the season and these tests are a nice
opportunity for Jason O’Halloran to learn about his new Honda CBR 600 RR and for Mark Aitchison and Matthieu Lagrive to test and work on their bikes set up. Honda Althea riders
faced a very hot temperature today on the Italian circuit.
In the morning Supersport sessions fourth place for Aitchison (1,54,104) and fifteenth position for O’Halloran (1,57,421) while in Superbike Matthieu Lagrive was tenth (1,51,983). Despite a very hot track temperatures in the last session O’Halloran improved on his previous best laps time and at the end of the second Supersport session Mark was fifth while Jason obtained the fourteenth place (1,56,464). Also Lagrive was able to improve his best lap time and during Superbike afternoon session and he reached the fifteenth position (1,51,339).
Mark Aitchison – Supersport : “Today was quite good. We started well this morning and I found very soon a good feeling with the bike. In afternoon we tested a lot of different gearing
combinations to improve the situation a little bit. My bike set up is pretty good and we are confident we can improve it tomorrow to increase our performance. I hope we can take the
things we found here forward to the next races.”
Jason O’Halloran – Supersport : “Today has been good. I learned a new circuit, a new bike and a new team. My team is working really well and I’m enjoying riding the bike. My bike’s setting is pretty good. We worked to improve it and we definitively moved in the right direction. I must adapt my riding style to the Supersport, but my last session this afternoon was better than this morning and tomorrow I’m sure I’ll improve my today’s results. I like the circuit and the bike is working really well and I think I started this new experience in the right way”.
Matthieu Lagrive – Superbike : “We must be happy with this test because today we improved from the last race in Donington. We still have a lot of work to do, but we are going in the right direction. The circuit is very nice and I liked to race here in Imola.
