WSBK: O’Halloran to join Aitchison at Althea Honda in WSS

Former Australian Supersport Champion Jason O’Halloran will ride an Althea Honda alongside fellow Aussie Mark Aitchison at next week’s official World Superbike and Supersport test at Imola in Italy.

O’Halloran had been competing for SMT Honda in British Superbike this season until the team announced it is unlikely to finish out the season due to funding, with the O’Show landing on his feet to pick up a world championship ride in Supersport  just days later.

At this point it is unclear if O’Halloran will finish out the season with Althea in the place of Matthieu Lagrive, who has stepped up to the Superbike class with the team after Tommy Hill was let go.

Meanwhile, Hill has joined the factory Worx Crescent Suzuki team in British Superbike in place of the injured Sylvain Guintoli, himself replacing former replacement rider Michael Rutter on the team.

In the HM Plant Honda BSB team it has been announced that Glen Richards will be replaced by Steve Brogan for one round before Steve Plater will take over on the factory CBR1000RR.
