Factory styling
Factory-style graphics, black alumite rims and black fork guards give the KX250F the looks to match its highly tuned performance.

Petal brake discs
Front and rear petal brake discs offer efficient braking performance.

Seat
Firmer urethane helps seat maintain its original shape longer.

Lighter-handling chassis
New steering stem and swingarm with revised cross-section offer lighter handling.

New Uni-Trak rear suspension
Linkage mounts below the swingarm for more precise suspension tuning. Revised linkage ratios contribute to increased rear wheel traction.

Rear shock absorber
Revised shock damping settings result in a reduced “kicking” tendency, facilitating corner entry. Dual compression adjustability offers a wide range of tuning options. Kashima Coat on the tank cylinder improves action.

All-aluminium perimeter frame
Slim aluminium perimeter frame is a lightweight construction composed of forged, extruded and cast parts.

Renthal handlebar
Factory-style handlebar and pad saves weight.

Slim rider interface
Bodywork components and seat designed to offer a slim, natural riding position making it easier for racers to go fast. Slimmer shroud design contributes to improved ergonomics.

249 cm3 liquid-cooled, 4-stroke Single
Tuned for high performance, the wide powerband extends way into the over-rev. Factory-inspired refinements contribute to increased performance. Used for the first time in a mass-production machine, a new high-performance piston with bridged-box bottom features the same design as our factory racers. Additional modifications offer enhanced durability and reliability.

Showa twin-chamber fork with titanium coating
Low-friction titanium coating (a class first) smoothes fork action. Revised settings result in a less forward-leaning posture. New damping settings and a revised steering stem offer improved action and increased absorption performance. Kashima Coat further reduces friction.

Radiators
New thicker, wider radiators with more widely spaced cores/fins are stronger, offer better resistance to mud build-up while maintaining cooling performance. Also lighter overall, with reinforcing brackets unnecessary.

Fuel-injected 449 cm3 liquid-cooled, 4-stroke Single
Fuel-injected engine offers hard-hitting power while ensuring stable fuel-metering in all conditions High-precision ACR Dual-weight centrifugal decompression system offers reliable starting.

Factory styling
Factory-style graphics, black alumite rims and black fork guards give the KX450F the looks to match its highly tuned performance.

Progressive throttle link
Lightweight 43 mm throttle body uses two shafts joined by a progressive link to give sharp response and excellent power feeling.

Kayaba AOS fork with DLC coating and Kashima Coat
Diamond-Like Carbon coating reduces sliding friction for improved fork action, especially during cornering. Kashima Coat and high-precision
machining further reduce friction.

Petal brake discs
Front and rear petal brake discs offer efficient braking performance.

Setting-adjustable motocross ECU
Lightweight ECU was designed specifically to withstand the rigors of motocross racing. Revisions to programme and settings offer improved response at low-mid rpm. Settings can be reprogrammed with an optional KX FI Calibration Kit.

Radiators
New thicker, wider radiators with more widely spaced cores/fins are stronger, offer better resistance to mud build-up while maintaining cooling performance. Also lighter overall, with reinforcing brackets unnecessary.

Shorter exhaust
Shortened exhaust pipe offers improved mid-range performance.

Seat
Firmer urethane helps seat maintain its original shape longer.

Rear shock absorber
Dual compression adjustability offers a wide range of tuning options. Kashima Coat on the tank cylinder improves action.

Lighter-handling chassis
New steering stem and swingarm with revised cross-section offer lighter handling.

Revised front/rear suspension spring rates and damping settings
Revised fork spring rates and damping settings and the less rigid steering stem offer improved action and increased comfort. Revised rear shock spring rate and damping settings add increased stability and increased cushioning when landing jumps.

New Uni-Trak rear suspension
Linkage mounts below the swingarm for more precise suspension tuning. Revised linkage ratios contribute to increased rear wheel traction.

Improved clutch feeling
Revisions to clutch components result in more direct feel and increased control.

Factory-inspired tuning
Factory-inspired refinements contribute to increased high-rpm and over-rev performance. Used for the first time in a mass-production machine, a new high-performance piston with bridged-box bottom features the same design as our factory racers.

All-aluminium perimeter frame
Slim aluminium perimeter frame is a lightweight construction composed of forged, extruded and cast parts.

Renthal handlebar
Factory-style handlebar and pad comes standard.

Slim rider interface
Bodywork components and seat designed to offer a slim, natural riding position making it easier for racers to go fast. Slimmer shroud design and revised exhaust pipe line contribute to improved ergonomics.
